Logan Forsythe

Logan Forsythe returns to Rays' lineup

Tampa Bay Rays second baseman Logan Forsythe (back) is back in the starting lineup Sunday against the Texas Rangers.

What It Means:

Forsythe is back batting leadoff but he is serving as the team's designated hitter on Sunday. He has missed over a week with back spasms, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him serve as the designated hitter for a few games to get back in the swing of things. Tim Beckham is at second base Sunday and hitting fifth against Martin Perez.

Forsythe is having a solid year, slashing .280/.341/.476 with 15 home runs, six stolen bases and a .350 wOBA in 393 plate appearances. We currently project him to hit five more taters and post a .803 OPS over the remaining course of the season.
