Bud Norris activated to start for Dodgers Friday against Reds
The Los Angeles Dodgers activated pitcher Bud Norris from the 15-day disabled list.
Norris will start on Friday against the Cincinnati Reds. He was sidelined for a few weeks because of a back injury, but after allowing just one run during 5 2/3 innings in a rehab start, Norris was cleared to return to the Dodgers. He owns a 4.26 ERA in 99 1/3 innings this season for the Dodgers and Atlanta Braves.
Norris' 4.01 xFIP is slightly lower than his ERA and his 21.85 strikeout percentage is just above league average (20.98 percent). We project him to record a 4.63 ERA and a 1.43 WHIP over the remaining course of the season.
