Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola has been transferred from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.
Nola was diagnosed with a UCL sprain and a low-grade flexor sprain after visiting with Dr. James Andrews on Monday, and now his season is officially over. The Phillies anticipate that their 23-year-old right-hander will be healthy and ready to go by spring training this offseason.
Nola ends the season owning a 4.78 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 25.05 strikeout percentage across 111 innings. In 20 starts, he went 6-9.
