Nick Franklin leaves Rays' game with apparent head injury
Tampa Bay Rays left fielder Nick Franklin left the game on Wednesday, having suffered an apparent head injury.
Franklin was hit by the backswing of a Kevin Kiermaier warm-up swing in the on-deck circle, forcing him out of the game after drawing a walk and scoring a run in the first inning.
Franklin has had a big year from the dish, slashing .295/.362/.516 with a .372 wOBA through 106 plate appearances.
