DJ LeMahieu scores three times as Rockies defeat Washington

Colorado Rockies infielder DJ LeMahieu went 3-for-3 with a triple, a two-run home run and three runs scored as the Rockies topped the Washington Nationals 6-2 on Tuesday.

He was a double short of the cycle in this one, while his two-run shot in the third evened the score at 2-2. LeMahieu has been scorching lately, hitting .548/.622/.871 with two homers, five RBI's and eight runs scored in the midst of an eight-game (38 plate appearances) hitting streak.

The 28-year-old owns a .342/.415/.498 slash on the year, with a .392 wOBA and .156 ISO, all of which are career-best marks. His nine home runs are also the most in a season for LeMahieu, and we project him to hit two more with a .780 OPS in 169 more appearances at the plate this season.
