Logan Forsythe scratched from Rays' lineup with back spasms

Tampa Bay Rays second baseman Logan Forsythe has been scratched from the starting lineup Tuesday against the San Diego Padres due to back spasms.

What It Means:

Nick Franklin -- and his .341 wOBA this season -- will replace Forsythe at second base and bat leadoff on Tuesday. A few days of rest should be all Forsythe needs in order to get healthy.

Forsythe is having a solid year, slashing .280/.341/.476 with 15 home runs, six stolen bases and a .350 wOBA in 393 plate appearances. We currently project him to hit five more taters and post a .785 OPS over the remaining course of the season.
