Rangers' Shin-Soo Choo will have plate inserted in forearm Wednesday
Texas Rangers outfielder Shin-Soo Choo will have a plate inserted in his fractured left forearm on Wednesday.
The Rangers haven't ruled him out for the season just yet, but having a plate inserted is obviously not a minor procedure and will likely carry a lengthy period of rest and recovery. Choo fractured his forearm on Monday after being hit by a pitch. The 34 year-old has only played 45 games (198 plate appearances) this season.
Choo was solid in limited action this year, slashing .247/.369/.416, to go with a .346 wOBA, seven home runs and six stolen bases.
