James Loney taking a seat in Mets' matchup with Arizona
New York Mets first baseman James Loney is out of the lineup Monday for a matchup with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
With southpaw Robbie Ray on the mound for the Diamondbacks, Loney will take a seat. Filling in for him at first base is Wilmer Flores, who is hitting .354/.400/.696 with a .342 wOBA against left-handers this season. He will bat fifth for the Mets, while T.J. Rivera handles things on the hot corner.
Loney is hitting .275/.320/.408 with a .315 wOBA in 251 plate appearances this season, while his .133 ISO is the highest such mark since the 2008 season.
