Cincinnati Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips (knee) is out of the starting lineup Monday against the Miami Marlins.
Phillips was forced to leave Sunday's contest early after suffering a left knee contusion. He has also been battling a quad injury. Tony Renda -- and his .176 wOBA this season (10 plate appearances) -- will get the start at second base and hit seventh Monday.
Phillips is slashing .282/.319/.403 with eight home runs, eight stolen bases and a .310 wOBA in 440 plate appearances this year. We project him to hit three more jacks and post a .708 OPS over the remaining course of the season.
