Yankees' Brett Gardner could miss several games
New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman indicated Saturday that outfielder Brett Gardner (ankle) could be sidelined for several days.
Gardner fouled a ball off his ankle and will miss his second straight game on Sunday. With the Yankees falling farther from playoff contention, expect them to play it safe with Gardner. Aaron Hicks is once again starting in left field and batting second against Jake Odorizzi.
Gardner is slashing .263/.352/.379 with a .331 wOBA across 457 plate appearances this season. He has 7 homers, 29 RBI's and 13 steals as well.
