Yankees promote Aaron Judge from Triple-A
The New York Yankees purchased the contract of outfielder Aaron Judge from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
The towering outfielder has been knocking around Triple-A pitching this season in the International League and he will make his major league debut on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Rays. Tyler Austin is also being called up to start on Saturday, which will start a new era for the Yankees.
In 405 plate appearances for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season, Judge has a .380 wOBA to go along with 18 homers and 63 RBI's. He has lowered his strikeout rate this season to 24 percent, while raising his isolated power to .212 in Triple-A in 2016.
