Mets option Michael Conforto to Triple-A
New York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto has been optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas.
What It Means:
Manager Terry Collins said he feels Conforto has been "pressing" in the 19 games since returning from his first demotion. He might be right, as the outfielder owns a .200/.298/.340 slash across 57 plate appearances in that span.
For the season, Conforto has posted a .304 wOBA and .195 ISO, while slashing .218/.297/.414 across 300 big league appearances at the plate. All of these numbers have regressed from last year's rookie campaign.
