Phillies' Adam Morgan to take Sunday's start against Rockies

Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Adam Morgan is expected to start Sunday against the Colorado Rockies in place of the injured Zach Eflin (knee).

What It Means:

It's been a tale of two seasons for Morgan, who has pitched well at Triple-A Lehigh Valley but was ridiculously bad in 12 starts for the big-league Phillies. He can be avoided for fantasy purposes.

In 12 starts -- 66 1/3 innings pitched -- in the majors, Morgan has put up a 6.65 ERA (5.44 FIP), 18.42 percent strikeout rate and 5.26 percent walk rate in 2016. His 3.04 ERA (2.79 FIP), 25.87 percent strikeout rate and 4.98 percent walk rate in Triple-A need to show up in Philadelphia before he can be trusted in roto.
