Jhonny Peralta not in the lineup for Cardinals on Friday
St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Jhonny Peralta is not in the lineup for the Cardinals road clash with the Chicago Cubs on Friday.
It just seems to be a day of rest for Peralta, and Greg Garcia will start at shortstop and bat sixth.
Peralta is having a weak year from the dish in his 155 appearances at the plate, slashing .238/.271/.429 with a .297 wOBA that marks his worst since his sophomore season in 2004.
