Rays activate Matt Duffy (Achilles) from disabled list
Tampa Bay Rays infielder Matt Duffy has been activated from the 15-day disabled list.
Duffy has been on the disabled list since June 20, when he strained his left Achilles tendon. He hasn't yet played for the Rays, as he was acquired in the Matt Moore trade, but he is expected to step in as the starting shortstop in Tampa.
Duffy has had a disappointing year from the plate so far, hitting .253/.313/.358 with a .295 wOBA through 286 plate appearances.
