Carlos Gonzalez (ankle) remains out Thursday as Rockies take on Texas

Colorado Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez (ankle) remains out of the starting lineup on Thursday afternoon.

What It Means:

A nagging left ankle injury forced Gonzalez to make an early departure from Monday's series opener versus the Texas Rangers, and he hasn't been able to play since. The possibility of a trip to the disabled list remains, but that scenario hasn't been mentioned yet. Gerardo Parra will man right field, while David Dahl takes care of things in left.

Gonzalez is having a terrific year from the dish, slashing .321/.371/.565 with a .393 wOBA and a .244 ISO through 448 plate appearances, as well as a 2.91 nERD that ranks 13th in the majors.
