Chicago Cubs relief pitcher Pedro Strop will undergo an MRI on his left knee on Thursday after he left Wednesday's game with an injury.
Strop injured his knee fielding a ground ball in the eighth inning, and immediately left the game. We will have a better feel for a return timeline when the MRI results are in.
Strop is having the best year of his career, posting career-bests in SIERA (2.35), strikeout rate (32.37 percent) and walk rate (7.51 percent) through 43 2/3 innings on the season.
