Scott Kazmir puts up solid outing in Dodgers' loss to Phillies
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Scott Kazmir pitched well in Wednesday's loss to the Philadelphia Phillies, surrendering two runs on four hits over six innings.
Kazmir struck out six and walked three on the afternoon. He allowed two runners on to open the seventh inning before being replaced. The Dodgers' bullpen then coughed up a three-run home run to Phillies infielder Freddy Galvis. Kazmir gets a road start against the Phillies in his next scheduled start.
Kazmir owns a 4.44 ERA and 1.28 WHIP this season, with a 24.22 strikeout rate and 8.26 percent walk rate across 127 2/3 innings pitched in 2016.
