Cincinnati Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips (quad) is not in the lineup as the Reds take on the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday.
There's still no word on the severity of the quad injury that force Phillips out of Tuesday's game, but it was at least bad enough to keep him out of the lineup tonight. Tony Renda will start at second and bat sixth in his place.
Phillips is hitting .277/.315/.399 with a .307 wOBA through 429 plate appearances on the season, while he has tallied 8 home runs, 45 RBI's, 51 runs scored and 7 stolen bases.
