Indians' Michael Brantley having more biceps, shoulder issues

Cleveland Indians outfielder Michael Brantley has experienced yet another recurrence of right shoulder discomfort.

What It Means:

Last November, Brantley had major surgery on his right shoulder and then last month, needed a cleanup procedure in order to remove scar tissue from his right biceps tendon. A press release from the Indians stated that doctors found "symptoms consistent with chronic biceps tendinitis." It looks like Brantley will be unable to play again this season.

Brantley has played 11 games in the majors this season, but has not hit well, slashing .231/.279/.282 with just a .051 ISO in 43 plate appearances. He posted a .389 wOBA in 2014 and followed it up with a .368 wOBA the next season.
