Mets' Jose Reyes (intercostal) not ready for rehab stint
New York Mets general manager Sandy Alderson said Tuesday that infielder Jose Reyes (intercostal) isn't ready to begin a minor league rehab assignment.
The Mets were hopeful that Reyes would be ready to start a rehab assignment on Tuesday, but he's still experiencing tenderness in his left oblique, so he'll pump the brakes for now. Wilmer Flores -- and his .327 wOBA this season -- will continue to receive starts at third base.
Reyes is slashing .239/.278/.493 with three home runs, three stolen bases and a .321 wOBA in 72 plate appearances this season.
