Angels' Tim Lincecum accepts Triple-A assignment
The Los Angeles Angels have sent pitcher Tim Lincecum to Triple-A Salt Lake.
What It Means:
Lincecum, who has given up three or more earned runs in all but one of his major league starts this year, elected to accept the designation, rather than become a free agent.
Lincecum posted a brutal 9.16 ERA and career-worst 5.31 SIERA through nine starts this year, while he sports only a 0.55 nERD across 38 1/3 innings.
