Diamondbacks place Welington Castillo on paternity list
Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Welington Castillo has been placed on the team's paternity leave list.
What It Means:
Castillo is eligible to remain on the list for anywhere from 24 to 72 hours. Oscar Hernandez will fill his spot on the active roster in the meantime.
Castillo is having a down year, slashing .254/.306/.430 with a .312 wOBA and only a -0.08 nERD in 317 plate appearances.
