Shawn O'Malley rides the pine for Mariners Monday
Seattle Mariners infielder Shawn O'Malley is out of Monday's lineup against the Detroit Tigers due to illness.
O'Malley is battling a cold and should be back to normal in the next day or so. Mike Freeman will start in his place at shortstop on Monday.
O'Malley owns a .239/.305/.348 slash line, with a .288 wOBA and four bag swipes in 152 plate appearances this season. His playing time will drop again when Ketel Marte (mono) returns.
