Braves' Arodys Vizcaino (oblique) will throw live batting practice Tuesday
Atlanta Braves pitcher Arodys Vizcaino (oblique) will throw live batting practice on Tuesday.
Pending any setbacks, Vizcaino could be cleared to make a rehab assignment in the minors later this week. The 25 year-old last pitched in the big leagues on July 15 because of an oblique strain, but it looks like he's on schedule to return to the majors within the next week or two. Vizcaino owns a 3.00 ERA in 36 innings pitched this season.
Vizcaino has posted a 3.65 xFIP, a 28.83 strikeout percentage (league average is currently 21.01 percent) and 10 saves this year. We project him to record a 3.58 ERA and a 26.98 strikeout percentage over the remaining course of the season.
