Diamondbacks' David Peralta heads back to disabled list

The Arizona Diamondbacks placed outfielder David Peralta on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to August 6, with a right wrist injury.

What It Means:

Peralta just came off the disabled list on July 29th after missing 35 games with a lower back sprain. He also went on the disabled list earlier in the season with an injury to the same wrist where he missed 26 games. It's been a disappointing season to say the least for a guy who broke out like he did in 2015. Brandon Drury should start to see some more playing time with Peralta on the DL for the third time this season.

Peralta's wOBA has fallen from .380 in 2015 to .314 this season, while his walk percentage has dropped and his strikeout percentage has increased. We project him to hit .261/.303/.402 with two taters and a .298 wOBA over the rest of the year.
