Wade Miley okay after getting hit by comebacker in Orioles' loss
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Wade Miley said he's fine after taking a comebacker off his left calf Thursday against the Texas Rangers.
Rougned Odor sent a screamer straight for Miley to end the fifth inning. The 29-year-old left-hander didn't make it out for the sixth frame, but that was caused by a 91-pitch count, rather than the calf injury. Miley is fully expected to be ready to go Tuesday against the Oakland Athletics.
Miley owns a career-high 5.08 ERA this season, while also recording a 1.36 WHIP and 17.68 strikeout percentage across 117 innings of work. He currently ranks 87th in the bigs with a 1.99 nERD.
