Mark Teixeira not in Yankees' lineup Thursday
New York Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira is not in the Yankees' starting lineup on Thursday night against the New York Mets.
Teixeira hit a three-run blast and drew two walks (and a hit-by-pitch) in Wednesday's rout of the crosstown rivals, but Rob Refsnyder will start at first base and bat eighth on Thursday versus Mets starter Bartolo Colon.
Believe it or not, Teixeira's .258 wOBA is even worse. He's slashing just .198/.287/.340 with 10 home runs in 303 plate appearances on the year. Our models project him to hit .221/.314/.390 with six home runs and a .308 wOBA over the rest of the season.
