Zack Cozart (finger) sidelined again as Reds take on St. Louis

Cincinnati Reds shortstop Zack Cozart (finger) is out once again Thursday.

What It Means:

Ivan DeJesus Jr. will continue holding things down at shortstop for Cincinnati, and he will be batting second on Thursday against the St. Louis Cardinals. Cozart has been out of action since Sunday with a bruised right finger.

After hitting .360 (79 plate appearances) to open the season, Cozart hit .243 (325 plate appearances) from May through July, but a .779 overall OPS has helped maintain his value. Despite the regression from April, Cozart owns a .196 ISO (compared to a .141 career-average) and has already matched his career-high with 15 jacks this season.
