Reds' Zack Cozart (finger) remains out Wednesday
Cincinnati Reds shortstop Zack Cozart (finger) remains out of the starting lineup Wednesday versus the St. Louis Cardinals.
A bruised right ring finger made Cozart a late scratch prior to Tuesday's contest and he can be considered day-to-day. Ivan De Jesus -- and his poor .251 wOBA this season -- will again start at shortstop on Wednesday.
After hitting .360 (79 plate appearances) to open the season, Cozart hit .243 (325 plate appearances) from May through July, but a .779 overall OPS has helped maintain his value. Despite the regression from April, Cozart owns a .196 ISO (compared to a .141 career-average) and has already matched his career-high with 15 jacks this season.
