White Sox place Charlie Tilson (hamstring) on the disabled list

Chicago White Sox outfielder Charlie Tilson was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a left hamstring strain.

What It Means:

Tilson made his MLB debut Tuesday night, notching his first career hit in the third inning, before falling awkwardly while attempting to bring in a long fly ball in the fifth. His left foot/ankle were turned completely sideways on the fall, however, so at least on first glance, it appeared to look much worse than a hamstring strain. Further tests were scheduled for Wednesday and an update should be available soon.

Prior to being called up, Tilson was hitting .282/.345/.407 with a .337 wOBA in 395 appearances at the plate in Triple-A. He logged 53 runs scored, 34 RBI's and 15 stolen bags.
