R.A. Dickey deals seven one-run innings in Blue Jays' win
Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher R.A. Dickey dealt seven innings of one-run ball as the Blue Jays topped the Houston Astros 2-1 on Tuesday.
Dickey had lost three straight coming out of the All-Star break, and the impressive win gets him back on the track he looked to be on before the break, as he picked up wins in five of his eight starts from June 1 through the break.
Dickey is sporting an ugly 4.72 SIERA on the year, with a 17.15 percent strikeout rate, though his 2.34 nERD does rank 37th in the majors. We project him for a 4.07 ERA and 1.25 WHIP over the remainder of the season.
