Astros bringing back A.J. Reed from Triple-A
The Houston Astros are bringing back first baseman A.J. Reed from Triple-A Fresno, according to MLB.com's Brian McTaggart.
While no official announcement has been made, Reed has been hitting well since his return to Triple-A, with four home runs and three doubles in 11 games.
Reed's first major league stint was ugly, and he hit only .156/.250/.289 with a .242 wOBA and a -0.35 nERD across 52 plate appearances.
