Brewers trade Jonathan Lucroy to Rangers
The Milwaukee Brewers traded catcher Jonathan Lucroy to the Texas Rangers, according to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal.
Lewis Brinson and Luis Ortiz, who are the Rangers' number two and number three prospects, are part of the return package for the Brewers. Joey Gallo apparently is staying in Texas. Lucroy is slashing .299/.359/.482 in 376 plate appearances this season.
Lucroy owns a .357 wOBA, which ranks second best among catchers this season, 13 home runs and five stolen bases. We project him to hit .276/.344/.438 with six taters, two steals and a .339 wOBA over the rest of the year.
