The Cleveland Indians acquired outfielder Brandon Guyer from the Tampa Bay Rays for outfielder Nathan Lukes and pitcher Jhonleider Salinas.
Guyer is slashing .283/.383/.463 in 473 career plate appearances against left-handed pitching, and can play all three outfield positions. He makes for a solid addition for the first-place Indians. This off-season, Guyer will be arbitration-eligible for the second time. He owns a .332 wOBA in 249 plate appearances this season.
Guyer's overall slash this season is .241/.347/.406 with seven home runs and two stolen bases. We currently project him to hit .244/.291/.374 with three taters, two steals and a .283 wOBA over the rest of the year.
