Trea Turner taking breather for Nationals
Washington Nationals shortstop Trea Turner is not in the lineup on Friday against the San Francisco Giants.
Turner's speed has proven to be an asset for the Nationals, as he's stolen six bags in his limited time in the bigs this season, all of them coming in the past nine contests. Wilmer Dilfo was recalled from Triple-A earlier this week and will fill in between second and third. Expect Turner to be back in action on Saturday.
Turner owns a .333/.382/.510 slash with a .380 wOBA in 55 plate appearances this season. Our models currently project him to cool off a bit moving forward, forecasting a .250/.289/.306 slash with a .260 wOBA over the remainder of the year.
