Lorenzo Cain returns from disabled list stint for Royals

The Kansas City Royals activated outfielder Lorenzo Cain from the 15-day disabled list.

What It Means:

A strained left hamstring forced Cain to miss exactly a month of action, but after playing in a few rehab games, he's now good-to-go. In a corresponding move, Brett Eibner -- and his .300 wOBA in 85 plate appearances this season -- was optioned.

Cain is slashing .290/.336/.416 with eight home runs, six stolen bases and a .323 wOBA in 307 plate appearances this season. We project him to hit .286/.331/.402 with two taters, four steals and a .320 wOBA over the rest of the year.
