Cincinnati Reds right-handed pitcher Homer Bailey has been activated from the 60-day disabled list.
Bailey will make his season debut Sunday against the San Diego Padres, 14 months after undergoing Tommy John surgery. In corresponding moves, Kyle Waldrop has been optioned to Triple-A Louisville, and Caleb Cotham (shoulder) has been transferred to the 60-day disabled list.
Bailey owns a 4.19 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 19.42 strikeout percentage for his career (1,010 innings). Our models currently project him to record a 5.26 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 11.65 strikeout percentage across 48 innings of work this season.
