San Francisco Giants second baseman Joe Panik was activated from the seven-day disabled list.
A concussion kept Panik out of action for a month, but he's now back in action on Thursday for a matchup against the Washington Nationals. He will take over at second for San Francisco, forcing replacement Grant Green to be designated for assignment.
Panik owns a .314 wOBA with seven home runs and five stolen bases in 304 plate appearances this year. We project him to hit .263/.333/.316 with a .295 wOBA over the rest of the season.
