Diamondbacks close to Daniel Hudson trade
The Arizona Diamondbacks are close to trading pitcher Daniel Hudson, according to MLB.com's Steve Gilbert.
It was reported earlier by Mike Puma of the New York Post that the New York Mets are interested, but it's not exactly known yet where Hudson is headed. He got off to a solid start this season posting a 1.31 ERA through June, but he has given up 20 earned runs in his last eight innings (22.50 ERA). It's possible a change of scenery will help Hudson get back on track.
Hudson owns a 6.08 ERA and a 4.59 xFIP in 37 innings this season, while posting an 18.56 strikeout percentage (league average is 21.01 percent). Our models currently project him to record a 3.78 ERA and a 19.00 strikeout percentage over the remaining course of the season.
