Washington Nationals outfielder Joey Gallo is not starting in Friday's contest versus the Houston Astros.
Gallo will sit at home after Jesse Winker was named Friday's designated hitter, Eddie Rosario was aligned in left field, and Jacob Young was positioned in center.
Per Baseball Savant on 28 batted balls this season, Gallo has produced a .156 expected average and a 17.9% barrel rate.
