The Chicago Cubs optioned outfielder Miles Mastrobuoni to Triple-A Iowa on Thursday.
The Cubs activated Patrick Wisdom (back) on Thursday in a corresponding roster move. Mastrobuoni made eight appearances and two starts while Wisdom spent the first three weeks of the season on the injured list.
Mastrobuoni went 0-for-12 with 1 RBI, 2 runs, 1 walk, and 3 strikeouts across his eight appearances. The 28-year-old also committed an error in the field.
