Chicago Cubs catcher Yan Gomes is not in the lineup for Friday afternoon's series finale against left-hander A.J. Puk and the Miami Marlins.
Gomes will get an extra day of rest after Thursday's game was postponed to Saturday. Miguel Amaya will catch for Jameson Taillon and bat ninth in Friday's matinee.
