Boston Red Sox outfielder Masataka Yoshida is not starting in Wednesday's game against the Cleveland Guardians.
Yoshida will sit at home after Rafael Devers was named Boston's designated hitter and Pablo Reyes was positioned at third base.
On 55 batted balls this season, Yoshida is producing a 3.6% barrel rate and a .237 expected average.
