San Francisco Giants center fielder Denard Span is not in the lineup on Wednesday against the Cincinnati Reds.
There's no word yet on why Span isn't starting, but Gregor Blanco will hit from the leadoff spot and start in center field on Wednesday.
Span is having a down year, slashing .257/.333/.345 with a .301 wOBA in 410 plate appearances, while his -0.75 nERD ranks 317th in the majors.
