Tampa Bay Rays catcher Rene Pinto is not in the lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Nathan Eovaldi and the Texas Rangers.
Pinto started the first two games of the series and went 1-for-6 with a double, a walk, and 4 strikeouts. He was also charged with an error. Ben Rortvedt will catch for Aaron Civale on Wednesday afternoon and bat eighth.
