Russell Martin (knee) to miss a couple days for Toronto
Toronto Blue Jays catcher Russell Martin (knee) is not in Friday's lineup against the Seattle Mariners.
What It Means:
Martin tweaked his knee when he fell in the sauna, but it looks like he will be back on Sunday. Josh Thole will bat ninth and start behind the plate.
Martin is struggling from the dish this year, hitting only .228/.317/.338 with a career-low .291 wOBA. He ranks 321st in the majors with a -0.84 nERD.
