Thaiss will make his season debut at catcher, batting seventh against Miami while Logan O'Hoppe catches a breather.
Thaiss' 307 plate appearances were a career high in 2023. He converted those chances into 9 homers, 32 runs, 31 RBI, and a .214 average.
