Royals showing interest in Braves' Nick Markakis
The Kansas City Royals are among the teams that have expressed interest in Atlanta Braves right fielder Nick Markakis, per Mark Bowman of MLB.com.
The Royals seem to be firmly in the market for an outfielder, and despite the hefty contract attached to him, Markakis is an interesting target.
Markakis is having a down year, with a .260/.337/.366 slash with a .308 wOBA and a -0.37 nERD that ranks 266th in the majors, and we project him to hit .271/.342/.371 over the remainder of the season.
