Chris Davis (stomach virus) still sidelined Tuesday for Orioles
Baltimore Orioles first baseman Chris Davis remains out of the starting lineup Tuesday night against the New York Yankees.
Davis has been dealing with a stomach virus since the weekend and even went to a local hospital on Sunday to receive fluids. Despite his absence, Davis is still considered as day-to-day. Ryan Flaherty will start again at first base, with Pedro Alvarez serving as the designated hitter on Tuesday. Flaherty owns a .296 wOBA this season compared to Davis' .356.
Davis owns a slash of .236/.347/.491 with 22 home runs in 386 plate appearances this season. Our models project him to pick things up slightly over the remaining course of the season, hitting .247/.373/.498 with 15 home runs and a .369 wOBA.
